About Warsong Gulch, it is not often translated into the mechanics of winning the game. Your goal is to capture the flag three times before they do. Whether it's the blue or red flag you are after, chances are that you love for the flag on the base of the sweet honor point rewards it offers. The following ways we make mention of will help you get to that reward a lot sooner.
The first way is to know your surroundings. It is good to know where are at, especially when you or a teammate needs help. If you've the flag, calling out the area where you're at in BG Chat is the best and quickest way to get help.
The Base consists of the flag room, roof and tunnel. Speed buff is available in tunnel.
Graveyard is the area where you spawn after being killed, which includes ramp and area immediately in front of graveyard next to the house with the Restoration buff.
Middle is between each Base. Berserking buff is available in front of both ramps. Use the logs and houses to get out of line of sight of enemies.
The second way is your routes. A straight line is the quickest way to any destination. Ideally you could grab the flag, hit auto-run and head straight to your base to capture the flag. Luckily for us, Warsong Gulch isn't that boring. There are a few routes that will get you to your base quicker than an engineering flying mount.
One route is a straight line. It only works if you have a group to help you or if you're quick with your class skills. Simply you can take the flag, go down the Tunnel if you're by yourself, using the Speed buff to dash out the tunnel, once you're in the Middle use any speed enhancements. Try to avoid crowds of enemies, but if you end up meeting one or all ten of them, slow them down or heal while you're moving. It's very important to always keep moving. Head up your Tunnel, grab the Speed buff and capture the flag.
The other route is ramp. If the tunnel filled with people that want nothing more than to break your legs off, take the ramp! What you do is to grab the flag, take the right exit, run up the small indoor ramp, head out of the base and run to your left towards the ramp. You must do this quickly because your enemies are very likely to spawn right behind you. Taking the left exit allows you to exit the enemy area without the people that are waiting for their respawn to see you exiting with their flag. From here, it depends on how your Tunnel and Ramp are looking like. If you're going to go up your ramp, don't grab the Berserking buff, it will increase all damage taken by 10%. Head up your Ramp and enter your base through the entrance closest to you. Go in a straight line and jump down to your left when you're in the flag room to capture the flag.
The third way is to do your part. Your role ends up depending on what you ultimately feel like doing. Offense entails for you to either capture the enemy flag or to get your flag back by killing the enemy flag carrier. Defense will require you to always stay by your flag or the flag carrier from your team in or around the Base to keep the other team from getting to the flag or even worse, running away with it. From the practical experience, there are the best classes for each role.
For offense, the best classes are Druid, Paladin, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior.
For defense, the best classes are Death Knight, Priest, Hunter and Mage.
